This is the third game in the series I've played, and am surprised to find so many differences between Shadow and The first GBA Emblem, and Path of Radiance for the Cube'. Here's my question: Not including recruitment, Is there any reason to talk to allies on the battlefield? In Radiance, for example, talking to allies had the effect of creating a "bond" between characters which would increase said characters stats when in proximity to one another. Is this true in Shadow? Or is it mearly story exposition?

there's no stat bonuses like that, unfortunately. when you are prompted to talk with allies, you get a short 'bonding' moment. this is as deep as it gets for most characters, as some of them don't even say anything... not even once!

you can view all of those convos endgame somewhere.. you if you like to complete things, then you shouild try to get them all.

your probably feeling same thing i am while playing this game. path of radiance and radiant dawn are so much more deep and intresting story and character building.

 I'm only on chapter 4, but yes, it already feels a bit "off". I have yet to play Radiant Dawn btw, but I'd bet it's as good as Radiance, my fave thus far.
