I've noticed that this one particular publisher doesn't sell gangbusters with too many of their games, but they are still around, even in this poor economy.

I just thought it would be fitting to congratulate the little guy for once.

Namco Bandai recently acquired D3, didn't they?

D3's an interesting publisher. In Japan they publish the Simple Series. A series of typically simple games made by various developers for small budgets and sold at budget prices. When the 360 came out they made 360 versions of Onechanbara and Earth Defense Force, which were both parts of the simple series. They even published the PAL and NSTC versions of EDF. Shame it never caught on though.

EDF rules so hard.

Majesco manages themselves in the same way as D3 I think.

When was the last time we heard bad news from them??

Guess they no how to survive. Wonder how things will turn out for them under NamcoBandai's care.

There are a bunch of small publishers and developers. Going by Vgchartz numbers, D3 has had 6 million sellers in its history (including Ben 10 on the Wii, which will sell a million with next week's numbers). They may not have big hits, nor do their games sell a lot every week, but they sell over time. Plus they publish a whole lot of games without having to actually develop them and pay development costs.
