I always play fighting games with analog sticks.

Hell in which games do I NEED the D-Pad aside from fighting games (where the use is debatable) ??? To select weapons in Gears ? Pff I don't see the problem.
D-Pads are obsolete.

360's d-pad is an abomination. It sucks big time. But thankfully they make up for it with the rest of the controller. But the PS3/Wii are certainly better for fighting games.
