No they are not.  I can go back all the way to PS1 days to show staggering sales for Gran Turismo games and at the least all the way back to SNES days to show staggering sales for Final Fantasy games.

Can you also show where these games sell 1 million consoles as you are assuming here? Because that isn't going to happen, it won't even be close. And on top of that none of those games are actually confirmed to be released in 2009. Basically this means your opening post is filled with so many wrong assumptions there really isn't a basis for a reasonable discussion.

It will be close.  I'm sure that if this site had sales information for the PS1 the week that FFVII was released in Japan it would show that the PS1 sold 1 million consoles in Japan that week.  And, I'm sure it would show the same for GT2 or GT3.

The 360 won't be at 250,000 this year.  It will be very lucky to be at 150,000.  It's not going to get the jrpg support this year that it did in 2008.  And, even if it does, by some miracle for the 360 this year which doesn't seem very likely to occur at this point in time, most Japanese gamers are smart enough now to know that if they wait 6 months to a year the game will be ported over to the PS3 in an improved form, as is being done with Ninja Gaiden II and Tales of Vesperia, so they should wait to get those games.

Then there is no point to keep this argument, your statmens are more related to "what you want", rather than "what might happen"... a lot of people already prove you wrong, whats the poin to keep this up. I'm done.

By me:

Made with Blender + LuxRender
"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

Final Fantasy VII sold 2 million copies week one in Japan. I'm sure that it have to have sold very close to 1 million consoles there that week as well. And, even if it didn't sell 1 million consoles its first week, FFVII was certainly responsible for the sale of 1 million or more PS1's.

No one proved me wrong.  And it is a fact that both Vesperia and NG II are coming to PS3 and both companies will add extra content and improve upon earlier features of each game as will be reflected in future review scores.  Sigma 2 will probably get a 9 from IGN and Vesperia PS3 an 8.5 to a 9.

jman - yes its a srpg but srpg is a sub genre of rpgs thats niche. since VC was made by SEGA it is a jrpg but more specifically a srpg. but you cant expect a srpg yo perform the same but that doesnt matter since you were saying jrpg lover. and if thats who is looking into a system the best one for a lover is exclusive to ps3.

btw i meant IU is mediocre. not the other two. so lread like this 'that mediocre IU and then there is LO and BD'

so it sold more than half of it's total sales in the very first week?  it only sold 3.94 in japan, do you have a source for this?  I can believe that as a worlwide number, but not japan only.  This thread is full of all sorts of fail, and it is all coming from BT.

Here's some advice BT, when the vast majority of people commenting on your thread are telling you that you are full of crap.  It is probably because you are.  Recognize this fact and learn from it and don't make any more fail threads like this again.
