For example I owned the PS2 (and still do) but went ahead and got the 360 prior to PS3 launch.

Kinda was pessimistic making the purchase as I just thought it would not live up to expectations.

Man I have never looked back gaming wise as imo this thing is an animal as far as gaming goes.

Hardware wise I am a little dissapointed as it has had to be repaired twice in 28 months once under warranty and once privatley.

Still a small gripe really as all hardware can fail for whatever reason but overall my purchase has made me realise that gaming has really moved on and no company has a monopoly on it.

So have you regretted changing from Sony to MS this gen or are you glad you moved.

I would like to just add this thread concerns PS2, 1 owners who have went with 360 this gen.

I was a PS2 owner and then bought a 360 in early 2006 and I regret it. I shouldve just stuck with the PS2 until the PS3 came out without buying a 360.

I guess I fit the criteria. I really hated the Xbox last generation and rarely played it. Now, the 360 is my favorite console of the three (to be fair, I still have a lot of great games to buy on my PS3).

No regrets here.

I regret not realizing how much extra money I would have to pump into the 360 to make it truly shine. I didn't buy it at launch because my friend's 360 literally caught on fire (sparked and smoked).

When I did buy the 360, I didn't realize that I would have to buy that wifi adapter, a better hard drive, and pay for Live. That in itself was about 150 dollars I didn't expect to pay. Luckily gamefly saves me a whole bunch when playing games.

i buy all console in every gen.

last gen i seemed to game more on my xbox because on clancy titles this gen ps3 is the clear winner for me.

Why is that "fair enough"? He didn't reply to why he regrets buying a 360.

not, and never will,,..DM4 ,tekken 6 ,final fantasy 13 ,RE5 ,GTA,
and some games that would make me buy an ps3 ,already
or be ready, for my x360,..

Would you beleive I never got to play the xbox it was PS2 for me so I was pleasantly surprised.
