They have nothing except Halo as franchise. Gears is from Epic and could go 3rd party.

And Forza is a dwarf compared as Gran Turismo as a franchise, it's the poor man's GT actually. Go watch sales numbers, GT franchise sold dozens of millions worldwide...

MS can't buy GT and GoW since it's Sony owned, and that's too bad since they're the two biggest franchises.

And new franchises like LBP are only on PS3 too (already 2 million sold).

Last thing, FF13 didn't become a MS franchise at all, since : - FF13 VS will be exclusive PS3 - FF13 will be only on PS3 in Japan, where it sells millions - everywhere else, you will have both versions, and worldwide PS3 version will easily sell more (see RE5 or SF4 worldwide sales, and add Japan exclusivity).

FF13 360 port will be a crappy 4 disks port... Nothing to brag about really.

@JRPG : yes, I agree. 2008 xbox lineup was quite poor compared to PS3. What did 360 owners have ? Gears 1.5 and Fable 2. That's not much, with only Gears as AAA.

I mean, MGS 4 (best game this gen in my opinon) and LBP are AAA and kill this lineup alone. According to Meta, they scored higher too...

Only the most blind fanboys wouldn't see the 360 2008 lineup was subpar compared to the PS3 lineup. Saying '360 had the best lineup in 2008' is ridiculous.

hen add gems like Valkyria Chronicles (best JRPG this gen according to scores and in my opinion too) or Motorstorm 2, and you can't even compare the lineups. It's even worse in 2009, but still...

GT is still one of the biggest franchises in video gaming, but you're grasping at straws with GOW & MGS

Even Forza 2 has sold more than MGS4 and I wouldn't consider putting Forza up there on the top list

You are leaving out a few far bigger than those two, God of War especially, there's another GOW that would fit up there though in Gears which is a much MUCH bigger seller.
God of War was a critically acclaimed title, but not a big seller, in fact each release has sold less than the previous one

The same thing happened with my PS3.  It sat and sat and only ever played blu-ray movies because all my games were purchased on the 360.  In 2008 alone I bought L4D, Lost Odyssey, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Banjo Kazooie.  All 360 exclusives that absolutely blow the movie... I mean game MGS and the silly and simple platformer LBP.

Other than that, I bought all multiplat titles on my 360 because I am a big CoD fan and those are always better on 360, and I also got the superior version of GTAIV and Dead Space.

 Yes, the sales. Saleswise Gears 2 alone outsells all the Sony xclusives of 2008. Almost.

If you say MGS4 and LBP, I say Gears 2 and Fable II. Sony wins that, but only with a lil bit.

Anyway, U fail in Ur attempt to bash the X360. U should realize that the remaining PS3 lineup looks very weak in 2009, with only Uncharted 2 as a fairly big game.
(Uncharted 2 has a chance at 2 million, but Infamous, Ratchet and Heavy Rain only barely have a chance at selling one mill)

Uncharted 2: one of the systems biggest sellers.

Heavy Rain: This game got many Sony fans pumped for the PS3 initially. maybe not a million, but 800,000 most def.

Infamous: This is a highly anticipated game. I put this trailer on the PS3 in my gamestop and all customers start gathering around it when the video starts playing. THis IS the next big title for PS3 and I believe will sell 1mill at LEAST.

Ratchet & Clank:Crack in Time :every ratchet and clank sells over  a million. WHy would this be any different.

God of War III: which IS in Sony's 09 lineup with no official month release(so the idea that it could be nxt year is null). This will sell no doubt.

if WKC comes out this year it will pass the million threshold no problem seeing as it already sold so well in japan it doesnt need much more. Million minimum. Same goes for Yakuza 3.
