I am saddened no one joined my rally cry for H-Games on the Wii.

What? It would help ensure the perverted Otaku crowd in Japan bought them!

I can't wait for the holiday season simply because I want ones saying "Oh well expect wii sales to continue to drop" to eat crow. Though it probably won't be until 2010 that they will actually admit that the wii is staying on top, and that sony's comeback isn't actually coming. But will probably still insist that the PS3 was the better system, just not commercially.

Well that is just a matter of taste and is only opinion. I think the N64 was overall better than the PS1 but that the PS2 was the best last gen mostly because of libraries. As for the rest 39K it is only summer(which is supposed to be slow DS be damend) it is still outselling all other consoles WW sales are up and no new releases. Beleive or not there were more than a few weeks since the DS lite came out that it only sold 40K in a week.

H-games on the Wii. I can already think of a couple attachments that can be made by Nintendo. Motion controls would be perfect for h-games. I hope that Illusion will become a third party h-game developer for the wii, they are my favorite company.

Pretty sure this has to do with Nintendo allocating more shipments to America for August and MP3 release.

@Just_Ben,

Actually from what I have read its available in certain places but far from all places in the PAL regions. But that is also based on stories and the like so its not very useful from a perspective of statistic and analysis.
Well the big in Europe seem to have it. We have enough German and British some Swedish and Belgian here all saying it is in stock, so thats for sure. And if you take Amazon as indicator, it is also availible in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal. I think we have enough Australians to tell us the status there. kber could give us a status for Poland. I didn't hear that it is out of stock in an european country for quite some time know.

This is sort of what I mean. People posting stories and giving the impression that its in stock is far from proof of anything except perhaps that it was in stock in that one store or that one area.

In other words, just because it "seems" to be in stock in certain places, does not mean it is "for sure" in stock in the entire EU region.

Its not that I don't trust these people its just that time and again statistics teaches us that scattered reports, especially when in insignificantly small sample sizes, are a very poor indicator of anything.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I think it is possible demand is met in EU, and I honestly don't mind or care if it is. I just want to see something more than scattered reports and Amazon data. Actually I am pretty sure demand is being met in some parts of the EU right now, as there are sales indicators for that, but I haven't seen indication of demand being met on a large scale.

Ok, the seem is a little out. But sorry, it is in stock in Germany. Broadband. We have 2 polnish, saying it is in stock there. We know that about the Uk. For the rest we have to take amazon as indicator. For me the intresting question is, will it be so in Dec? I don't know about that, could be that the Wii will be hard to get at this Christmas. But for know we don't know.

It sounds like the Wii is, at least for know, becomming availible in Japan. Doesn't mean it has to stay so for very long, but that leaves only NA with heavy supply problems for the moment, and I personaly think this will change till end of September (doesn't mean it will stay that way for the rest of the year), because i think the increased production goes mostly to America.

Oh, the convergence of H-games and that WiiMote lead to one thing...

Great YouTube video for the rest of us.

I am late to this thread, but I read the posts and can't seem to find anyone who pointed out a few major flaws with the thread title: " Nintendo's Japan base crumbling? Wii sales only 39k last week.."

1. User base expanded by 39k (M-creat number) last week.
2. What is taking it's place? Did something sell significantly more to catch up to Wii? No. Wii is still out selling PS3 by atleast 2:1.
3. NDS still out selling PSP almost 5:1.

Is Nintendo going to still be ahead by 2010? No one can say, but it is not "crumbling".

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wow. The Wii sells more like a mortal system for a little while and people are making up Wiipocaypse Now stories.

10 months after release and it shows signs of meeting demand. *Gasp*

Think about what you just said: it took nearly a year before Wii sold less like a freak of nature and more like every other machine yet still on top with sure footing from week to week.

This is nothing more than a natural ebb after tremendous ungodly flows. It was the Immortal Wii Hogan, brotherrr, and now it sells like a more a mortal man yet still remains on top.

Somebody said it earlier. Calm before the storm.

Holiday season is fast approaching. This ebb is preparing you for the mind-destroying flows that are about to be  commonplace for the next 3 months.
