Forums - Sony - Tales of Vesperia announced for PS3

just because they are announcing it now doesn't mean that it isn't already been in development for a while.

i truly hope it gets officially announced (for NA). i'm not too keen on getting it for the 360 as it would go a lot further if i get it for the ps3 (i can share it with my brother).

Of course it is already in development. Did you not see the gameplay pic with the new character in it?

If this is true

then good for the JRPG fans on the PS3 out there I hope you enjoy it :)

now give us Demon Soul ^^

Forget Demon's Souls, if that suppose to be a RPG then its the most boring and depressing game I've ever played.

But what if it's true!

Then I'm gonna throw myself a party but until then I consider it as n.o.n.s.e.n.s.e, as a RPG fan with PS support I have  already been disappointed enough on that area.

Good to see someone else likes FFX-2.

OT, funny enough, I listed this game as a reason I'd want a 360 on another recent thread. Looks like LO is my only reason now.

Yes, those two girls are my all time favorite female characters especially in Japanese Oh yes and Lulu.

OT... um... dunno... carry on.

Yeah, I really think that FF X-2 is really underrated.

And I think you might want to get that party ready......

@ Soriku

I thought the same thing.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

I guess its great for ps3 owners but i dont think i will get this.

My reasons for buying an xbox just keep disappearing....

now plz announce Ace Combat for the PS3

NEVER NEVER! I don't think they will, it has been a long while since Ace Combat 6 has been released better luck with Ace Combat 7!

In case you didn't heard it yet:

It was a tad controversial when Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation was announced as an Xbox 360 exclusive. After all, Namco Bandai's Ace Combat series had cut its teeth on Sony's consoles for years. Now, however, the title might return to familiar territory, as UK-based PSM3 Magazine is reporting on the development of Ace Combat 6 on PS3.

According to a brief blurb in the magazine, Ace Combat 6 is scheduled for release later this year, and will feature online co-op. The blurb also mentions that the title will include its own custom controller (clearly referring to the Ace-Edge flight sticks that were released alongside the 360 version).

With no official word from Namco Bandai on the topic, we're hesitant to believe this one just yet, although breaking exclusivity agreements is certainly not unheard of in this industry.

YES YES.....thanx for the info am adding u as friend

@Acevil  ha in ur face in ur face

Can you please look at the date that was posted. PLEASE!

So wait, Ace Combat 6 ps3 was released in 2008! That must have been some bomb, because NO ONE KNEW about it!

^^'' Sorry that is my fault.

But their has been a new rumor.

Ace Combat has always been a PlayStation series. Well, except for that last game, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, an Xbox 360 exclusive. Many have wondered why the PS3 hasn't seen its own Ace Combat game yet -- could Namco Bandai be working on one now?

A Japanese job listing is searching for a PS3 artist experienced in MAYA. This person will be responsible for creating the textures and models of jet fighters. The hiring company is not named, but the address listed is in the same area as many of Namco Bandai's Shinagawa offices.

We're hopeful that Namco Bandai will bring the Ace Combat series back to PlayStation fans. If not, then PS3 owners can -- at the very least -- take comfort in knowing that some Japanese company is making a "flight action game" for our system.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Why would they announce this and risk the sales of the 360 European version? Isn't it breaking some kind of exclusivity clause?

There never was any exclusivity clause, just people spreading lies.

A month or two before ToV launched they interviewed the producer and he said there was a ps3 tales coming but they still didn't know wether they'd port ToV or make a new one.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

New fiscal year,so the exclusivity clause has ended.

Only thing that's gonna suck is that being a late port, it definitely won't sell as much as it would if it were simultaneously released. Then it will get added to the list of "PS3 can't sell JRPGs either"

(Valkyria, Eternal Sonata, Disagaea (sp?), etc....even though WKC kinda disproves it)

I hope not, but I have a feeling its actually going to sell decently. Although I hope a New PS3 exclusive Tales game is announced.
