You are right about it, it is not very impressive from the start.

In H3, you have to qualify yourself out of the sandbox and it is quite difficult to understand the gaming mechanics without help (guides, internet tips) etc...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Not a Halo Killer in any sense of the word.

Sales: No chance.

Game itself: Single player is arguable, but Killzone 2 will NOT I repeat WILL NOT EVER generate the amount of gaming time Halo 3 has, the support from the developer that Halo 3 has, nor the level of fanatical-ness or sheer numbers fanbase.

So no. Don't label Killzone 2, an otherwise great game, something it's not.

Agreed, but now if you want to label it as the "halo of the PS3" then it is true to me ...

Nobody expected Killzone2 sales to come close to Halo3 sales. It seems like this thread was created to brag that those non-existent people were wrong.

I thought this was a joke thread.  Do people still talk like this?  How would one game possible "kill" another game.  That's gamespot talk.  I didn't think we did that here.  It's either a joke thread or a license to troll.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Killzone 2 did not sell well at all, but that does not mean that it is a bad game. Hell no !

We all know that KZ2 was suppose to be the response to the Halo fan.

After one month of selling, can we finnaly say that KZ2 is the Halo killer that we all waiting for...

So KZ2 : halo killer ? Yes or no ?

Responses to the bolded sections

Wrong

Wrong

Stupid Question.

Please don't spread lies. Thank you

If we are speaking about ''Better FPS''
Then CoD 4 already killed it lol

But yeah imo KZ2 > Halo 3.

Interesting thread. I am not even a fan of the Halo franchise as an avid 360 supporter, but KZ 2 has pretty much come and gone.

It is quite illogical to even compare the two franchises. Halo is a massive phenomenon in the console industry, and I feel quite confident saying it will never match the cult following, or profitability of the Halo franchise.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.
