ps2 didn't sell fast either they started off slow just as the ps3 now and the same questions were goin around wonderin if it was gonna last and it did

I said i think it will because it has so much more into it than the other systems and when the price goes down sales will outdo competition

Sales were slow in the early months due to component shortages, not demand.  It also sold almost 20 million units before the GC and Xbox even launched.   How can you tell me that people were suggesting the PS2 would fail?

Jboy - God, please stop it. If you love the PS3 that's cool but keep your feet on the ground. The PS3 is losing because they made bad choices just like the saturn and the N64 did. The wii is not winning because of the price. If that was the case then the xbox360 would be outseling the wii and that's not happening.

Also, why are you dismissing the competition? that's childish. And no, the "is my opinion argument" doesn't works because it doesn't make sense. It may be your opinion but it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong.

And nobody expected the PS2 to sell badly. No one. I don't know where you get that idea.

I loved my Gamecube but I did knew that it wouldn't ever outsell the PS2 and that's fine. Honestly, enjoy your console but face reality. Being in denial is useless and absurd.

And the "wii is a kiddy sistem" is a very old and tired argument. Drop it and grow up.

Say what you want I really don't care my opinion stands and when ps3 does outsell them I'll know I was right and if not I'll know I was wrong but its not even been 3 years yet so I don't see how its possible to tell yet ps2 sold 100 mil in 6 years but I say wait til Nov 17th of this year and if sales aren't at 50 mil or close to it, then talk about it bein a failure but not this early. I'm done talkin about this we'll see when we'll see thats all i'm sayin i got more important stuff to do then try to hold a conversation with nintendo/microsoft fans

Anything over 60 million units is being optimistic the PS3 had a less then impressive start and we are currently in a global recession who's effects will be felt for years to come.

Actually, E rated games make up the bulk of every single system on the market.   Always have.

Graph says PS3 sold 21 million in 3 years and Ps1 sold 8 million in 3 years. And lets say Vgchartz undertracked PS1 by 6 million ( still a LOT, probably not true), PS3 still outsold it by 6 millions.
