You do know the GC and DC were cheaper than the PS2 don't you? If being cheaper meant an automatic sales lead, things would have looked a lot different last generation. Let's not forget the X360 being cheaper than the Wii.

thats nowhere near what the prices for the past consoles
If the price was the same as the ps2 and Wii with GC and all that then i bet ps3 would win
The Wii is more of a kid system too lets not forget that
Most parents buy it to keep their children occupied while ps3 is more for adults(who don't play much games anyways)
Thats why Wii's sales are so high
