You'll have to buy a new TV. I believe the technology they're talking about is the kind that is built into the screen and does not require 3D glasses.

new tv??? it runs on HDTV; and I got myself a nice shiny black one

That sounds like something Keanu Reeves would say...see what I did there?

I believe it will need more than one year to be fully utilized in gaming.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

I believe it should work with HDTV's at the moment and has something to do with horizontal and vertical data being shown in different lens of the glasses and the glasses are slightly greyish and not the green and red ones anymore.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

If it is using glasses then what is the point? They can make 3D games like that for any console..

I don't get it? I thought it had to do with autostereoscopic displays.

i dont know why all of a sudden everyoen is 3D crazy :/ I went on a date to the IMAX a few weeks ago, and it was nothing that amazing... my eyes hurt the entire time too... hopefully itll be a fad like it was 20 years ago
