Forums - Microsoft - Would it be in the 360's best interest for MS to pull it out of Japan?

 Hideo Kojima's Next Project, Tales of Vesperia PS3, Star Ocean4 PS3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Team ICO Project, games from NIS like the upcoming Eternal Mana game, Level 5's next PS3 rpg,  there will be a ton of exclsuive games coming to the PS3 in Japan after it hits 5 million sales there this holiday season with the release of GT5 and FFXIII, and even more after FF Versus XIII pushes the PS3's install base up to 7 million in Japan.  If Kingdom Hearts III comes to the PS3, then it will sell over 10 million consoles in Japan this gen.

Wow, so many PS3 fanboys in this 360 thread today.  Are you really so ignorant as to say that every JRPG on the 360 was a failure?

 

 

      Every 360 jrpg was a failure.  The only one that came anywhere close to being a success was Lost Odyssey.  Star Ocean 4 has barely sold more copies worldwide than White Knight Chronicles did in Japan and Tales of Vesperia did so poorly that it was discontinued in the US then ported to the PS3 (and it will have all new bells and whistles added on PS3).

Blind fanboys.... I pity them.

Still.... and correct me if I'm wrong... but going from 500,000 to 1,000,000 is improvement, no?  And going from 23,000,000 to 10,000,000 is a huge upset, no?

I'm comparing the 2 companies console sales from last generation to this one.

One has doubled it's install base and therefore moved forward and the other is way down on sales from last time.

Whilst Xbox360 sales are not huge I would think Microsoft are a lot happier than Sony.

no they are finally breaking though and completly abandoning the japanese market they will lose all credibility with the japanese gamers. Because as it stands more and more companies are going to make games for the 360 in japan and next gen M$ might just have a chance (in japan i mean)
