LMAO
That's why sony sucks as a gaming company and always will(profit wise, they make good consoles and publish good games)
But Nintendo always made more money then sony in the gaming devision except for 2003. That's all that really matters in the end for a company. Profit.
I like how everyone takes his statement as if he came out on his own and stated "The PS2's price drop is going to destroy the Wii and take away all of it's sales and marketshare." If you read the answer it was obvious that the article omits the question which probably was along the lines of do you think the price drop CAN take away some sales from the Wii. Then the Sony rep responded with that they do believe the Wii and the PS2 have the same type of consumers, which would be budget consumers/neglected consumers by PS360, so yes it COULD steal away some of the sales from the Wii. Then the publishers of the article puts in the title that Sony thinks the $99 PS2 will FOR SURE take away the Wii's marketshare. Typical journalism, painting your own picture with out of context words just to get extra attention.
Edit: The question is actually on page 2 of the article. It's a pretty leading question and in the whole context of the thing it makes it seem like it may or may not steal some away from the Wii, but that it will help the PS2 regardless in reaching it's targeted consumers.
Only if PS2 gets a Sony made add-on that mimics the Wii's capability, along with a whole marketing/product redesign with massive financial backing. Otherwise, it will be minimal and mainly subject to people's financial situations, which is already the case.
Sony either you competing with Nintendo or not stick with one story!
Former something....
I don't think so...
- "If you have the heart of a true winner, you can always get more pissed off than some other asshole."
Crazy, first the MS story, now Sony shoves there foot in there mouth also. Ahhh, will both companies ever learn.
