TBH I don't know why SONY did it.
Its gonna get them less profit

Didn't the PS2 sales go up when it was temporarily $99 at Target? I am not sure when that was, but if it is now worldwide, it may outsell PS3; but I highly doubt it.

it's only a 30 dollar cut though. Considering new games for the ps2 are few and far between, and other systems are the main focus, this price cut comes as a moot point.
Though with prices these days, and legos being like 50 dollars a bag anyway.... :D who's up for buying ps2s and stacking them like dominos?
