Other games include:

Next Team ICO game = small boost in Japan
Jak 4 = Minimal Boost
KH3= could be a big boost if it is exclusive

FFXIII will sell systems in Japan, but it won't be too noticeable over all, as even doubling the PS3's normal Japanese sales would still be barely noticeable.

God of War just isn't a very big franchise, contrary to the opinion of some people on this site.

 

Edit - Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a bit of a system seller for the Wii, due to the exclusivity of the game - to the Wii.

I'm with Waren in GOWIII's case but FFXIII will probably be a system seller for both the PS3 and 360 (possibly more for 360 who knows). I think Uncharted 2 will be more of a system seller since the series has that blockbuster movie-type look to it.

 

Yea I can see MS making a neat bundle for FFXIII like the RE5 bundle and also perhaps exclusive DLC!!

I didn't want to get drawn into this, but the alternative is working :P

 

Kingdom Hearts 3 is very well suited to the Wii - it has an interesting enough art style that the extra processing pwoer of the PS3 is unimportant. It sells best in Japan and America - the two regions in which the Wii is doing particularly well and the PS3 is doing particularly badly. It appeals to a very similar audience as the Wii itself does. And it has reached the stage where it is impossible that they started programming it for the PS3 back when it was still assumed it would be the dominant console. Why do you think it will be on the PS3?

i never said that GT5 won't sell i just point out that with all driving sim it won't move much consoles cause driving sim fans already have either ps3 or 360.

At this point the big system sellers would be a 100$ price cut and releasing PS2 BC followed by making available a significant number of PS2 titles on PSN ( imagine the whole FF or Suidoken collection available for downloads for).
Even for publishers that would be nice as the majority of PS2 sales these days are used games on which they make no money at all.....



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

final fantasy will be huge in japan it will be number 1 for at least 2-3 weeks and of course gt5. i don't see gow3 give it a bump in america will be like resistance it will fade. people that already have a ps3 will be getting gow

Gran Tursimo 5 will lead to hundreds of thousands of console sales, as will Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

God of War III will give the console a nice spike similar to MGS4.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, and M.A.G. all should give some nicely increased numbers for a few weeks similar to LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2.
