Congradulations to the Wii generation consoles reaching the 100 million mark.

When do you think that the Wii generation console sales overtake the PS2 sales?  With the current PS2 price cut information we should see a moderate rise in its sales making this one a little tricky...

The generation itself, I'm guessing sometime in 2010.

As for the Wii itself, very hard to say, assuming it does happen.

The thought never crossed my mind.  The market is a little too cluttered these days for that IMHO.

Do you mean when will the combined Wii/PS3/360 surpass the combined PS2/GC/XB?

Well combined PS2 gen is currently just over 170 million, and will likely end around 180 million (not including DreamCast)

So it will be sometime in 2010 for sure, as the end of 2009 should see around 145-150 million for the current gen.

So I will guess around October 2010

The Wii will clearly overtake the PS2 by itself. Might not be until 2014, but it will.

If comparing all consoles of this generation (add in GC and XBOX, etc... sales), I say 2011 possibly 2010.

No I actually mean combined Wii PS3 360 passes the PS2 itself, in the LTD, sorry for my ambiguity.

BTW I think this Wii generation borrowed from VGChartz in the title might not have been such a good idea 

In which case... as I gave numbers for the end of 2009, it will definately happen before the end of this year.

Probably October or early November.
