PS3 gets MGS 4 as an exclusive. X360 gets Splinter Cell:Conviction as an exclusive. Two games in the similar shooter stealth genre exclusive to two different console systems.
Keep Metal Gears Solid series on PS3 and Sony consoles. Keep Splinter Cell series on X360/PC.

That's because it was made by Ubisoft Shangai. Ubisoft Montreal is the true creator behind the Splinter Cell series (and behind the XBOX edition of the Double Agent which was distinctevly better than its 360 brother), Still, Double Agent 360, xas not lame... |
I played and beat both, the Xbox version was better, but it still sucked in comparison to Chaos Theory.

I hope Splinter Cell:Conviction ends up being a system seller due to being X360 exclusive.
Microsoft is playing it safe by only announcing games just before they are due out, following the humble Nintendo business model. Unlike Sony who hype all PS3 exclusive games years in advance.

Uhhhh.... Splinter Cell Conviction was announced back in 2007 and since then kept slipping further and further back.
I have no idea where your Sony attack had relevance in this thread.

Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII and God of War 3 were all announced back in 2005. Where are those games?
You will say something about Alan Wake but that is an unknown new IP game title for X360. Those three franchise PS3 games I mentioned were expected to have been released early in PS3s life and we are in 2009 and they are nowhere to be seen.
Edited: I checked Wikipedia: God of war 3 was unofficially announced back in March 2007 just after God of War 2 debuted on PS2 in 2006.

Why are we starting this? This is a Splinter Cell Conviction thread, dont you two start bickering about release dates.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Ok, that is true, but what does that have to do with this thread at all?
Now you're just going off-topic.
By the way, GoW3 was announced at last years E3. Know what you are talking about before typing please.
I'm out.
