What do you mean with cemented?

PlayStation is still much stronger. But Xbox brand did get stronger this gen

I thought he meant that but cemented sounds for me more like comes and stay in this case 'be popular for a long time' a term you can't really in this game industry.

Consoles brands don't mean a thing. Ask Sega/nintendo/Sony.

In my part of Europe, Playstation is the No.1 console in both sales, weekly game sales (PS3 - 8 vs 360- 3 this week's top 10 multiplatform games), awards and so on. But there's still alot of 360 users, but most of them bought the console because they could get it "flashed"? (dunno the english word for it), so that they could download games for free.

quite true, a brand can't stay forever. For all we know, there might not be a next Xbox or the next Xbox might be a massive failure

It's doing quite well considering this is only the second generation for the xbox. One has to remember, microsoft is facing titans in the gaming industry. Nintendo/mario has been around for the better part of 20 years while the ps2 is the best selling console out there.
