Good Thread:

- A teenager Link (16)

- Xp system

- Steampunk Elements

- High Difficulty

- a flying mechanism( maybe Epona grows wings??)

-

Final Fantasy.....

FF?? No, Zelda 2 had a Xp system so its not unheard of, Steampunk could open up new possibilities, but also keep the the hyrule setting in tact, and I saw a Fan Art of a teenager link and thougt it would cool, im not sure why FF was brought into this

Zelda II is the ONLY Zelda with XP and it was more RPG like. FF is an RPG. FF had steampunk world. FF has teenage characters. Dont wanna argue but yea its not like your suggestions wouldnt remind somone of FF.

Here's something I'd like.

Have every major character except for Link be voice acted, but it's using a nonsense language like in Shadow of the Colossus and ICO.

Well Midna had one so I think it has a chance of coming true . XD

This is what I was thinking - Midna already set the precedent for this! Basically make the whole game like her, only something more easily recognizable as a language.

If they used Animal Crossing-like language though, I expect a singer like KK Slider in the game.

Day 1 for me if it happened.

Id rather they speak english/japanese. Not gibberish.

ICO/SOTC didn't sound like gibberish at all, plus in Wind Waker they had a Language

Sadly never played any of those. =(

Well now that I think back to Midnas voice and how I loved it I guess it wouldnt  be too bad.

I just want it longer and harder, and with more bosses.

Or a remake of Link's Awakening.

I want "steam punk" Zelda. Like will ride a Motorcycle called Epona.

God I'm so glad Nintendo will never read these suggestions :D What are you trying to turn Zelda into? A Zelda game is what it is because of certain gameplay mechanisms, not because of the characters or story.

I want no first person view, no voice acting (some gibberish is ok), no real time strategy or JRPG. For those who want that - why does it even have to be Zelda, if you're going to chance EVERYTHING? I think Square-Enix has got some 200 games you would love.

What I would like:
- Much more sidequests, and more relevant ones (think Majora's Mask). Not just trading missions, but smart stuff like following the thief girl in WW, or fighting off the ghosts at the farm in MM.
- Even less distinction between overworld and dungeons. I love it when there's more to the overworld than just connecting the dungeons. TP added a lot of variety this way (wagon escorting, showdown on the bridge, saving Midna, ...) - too bad the latter half of the game completely lacked those sections.
- Darker mood: Ok, but in an intelligent way like MM did. I don't want Zelda to turn more brutal or violent or gritty. That's childish.
- A story with lots of WTF moments.
- I want it to be less schematic. Even I am somewhat tired of the "forest dungeon -> boomerang" routine.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

Not that I'm against the idea, but what would that achieve? You will still read the text, so... I guess it worked with Midna, but why not take it the whole way?

I'd like a new Zelda that plays like alttp :)

Did you play Shadow of the Colossus or ICO? It gives the characters voices - often good ones - while holding up a barrier between the listener and understanding.
