Wouldn't Syphon Filter work better on the Uncharted engine? I mean it's already third person and cover based. It seems like a natural fit.

I'm still not totally convinced Sony has this year in the bag, because Nintendo and Microsoft have both gone on record that e3 will be big for them and it's obvious both of them are holding their cards close to their chest until then. Sony is basically showing their awesome lineup and both competitors have theirs behind a curtain awaiting to be pulled. It's easy to ignore it but you know damn well some awesome shit is going to get pulled out one day soon from both. Personally, I'm already more excited about the Wii lineup this year, with PS3 in second and 360 in third. I'm assuming this is just consoles too, because I think the DS' lineup this year wipes the floor with every console's lineup.

This thread seems very premature and pretentious considering it's so early in the year.

I would not count the competitors out just because Sony announces games years in advance (mostly as a result of delays and push backs).

Each year is claimed to be the year of the PS3, which turns out to not be the case. I wonder isf the most rabid Sony supporters will ever learn?

Go look at IGN AU's list for Software released in 2008, PS3 took top honors followed by the 360 and then the Wii...which was proven to have had 25% of its gaming software to be Shovelware.

The Agency and DC Universe Online have been confirmed for 2010. And I think GT5 and GOW3 will make it out the gates this year as GOW3 has gameplay footage as well as a demo out by E3 and GT5 has been in production for quite a while now.

EDIT: If VSXIII is still exclusive expect that to hit Japan one year after XIII.

(GT5 might still make 2009, though, although GOWIII and MAG are both confirmed 2010.)

For the 360 in 2010, I'm guessing we'll get Mass Effect 2 and Gears 3.

So you know, people dispute the 'idea' that the PS3 'won' 2008 so I doubt there will be any consensus apart from the self congratulations of fanboys who would stack the deck in their favour mentally in any case.
