Forums - Sony - PS3 Hard Drive Change. Have some questions !

My 40GB PS3 has only 12 GB left :(

After 2-3 more installs and DLC, i will have no space left. :(

  1. If i swap my hard drive, will my trophies be lost ? You know when you select trophy collection in the XMB, will they be displayed?
  2. Can I use a 7200rpm drive instead of 5400rpm?

Thanks.

1. = all your PSN info will still be there, you just have to re-enter your log-in info.

2. = Not sure but i think it's possible.

1.All your stuff wont be lost as long as you back-up your data.

2.I reccommend using 5400rpm I know 7200rpm has some compatabilty issues but it will still work.

5400 is better for PS3 as 7200 creates more heat ,,,also ,no about the trophy question

look for a HDD with more Cache rather than rpm speed i think stick is like 12mbs
