Forums - Microsoft - 10 reasons why i dislike 360!(And yours!!!)

1.Xbox live-(WtF my friend has to PAY for XBL when he is over a few times a month and we are on the same fking console, really MS?)

Not so bad considering the longterm benefits. MS charges developers less thus XBox live gets more content. Server is unified so there's less problem in this case. It comes back to 3$ a month. Amazon and others even have it for 30$ a year.

2.Batteries -Really? Honestly Batteries?

It's true that it sucks, but at least, when batteries die, you can change it while PS3, you have to change your controller

3.Rumbling DVD drive.

4.Everything cost MS points, just about everything at least, can i get a (Good)free track for GH WT? No dam..

Nope, demos, videos, trials, and Xbox Insider is free. You have to pay for Qore magazine with PSN.

5.No reward for buying GOLD,Cmon MS give us 500 MS points for every 3 months we buy of XBL,plz?

You get to have demos before silver and PSN owners. You get the top online multiplayer matchup.

6.Wired stix suck! The cord somehow got bent and well if you move it anyway it comes unpluged, not really unpluged but disconnected cause the wires are messed up.

???

7.Hype? MS didnt play L4D at all,an exclusive to the Xbox 360 console but they dont say crap about it,show it off its an AAA game,or any other big games besides Halo and Gears, why MS why?

It's selling well for a new IP, and have good sales constantly

8.Where is my Slim 360?

It's, at the very least, slimmer than the original XBox and PS3.

9.Where is my Blue Ray addon?

Seriously, it'll sell as much as the HD DVD addon. Who cares? People bought the 360 because of games and didn't want/need blu-ray at the first place. Those people who wanted a bluray probably bought a ps3 instead.

10.Can i have downloadable Xbox 360 enhanced games, you know games that have improved graphics over the DVD version due to more space?

more space = more videos (a la MGS4). It's mostly RPGs that need a larger storage solution.

My honest opinions what are yours?

1. When Sony lets you play lag free and does something about cheating let me know. Also you can play all the old XBox games over Live. Worth it for $30 a year imho (I never pay above $30, thanks to deals and what not and at the worst you should pay $40)

if you can find any online gaming service anywhere that has totally lag free games and no cheating, please call me. Have you ever even played a PS3 game online ever? In my experience playing my own PS3 and my friend's 360, neither system has serious online problems and if anything, PS3 games, especially older ones, do better on the lag issue than their 360 counterparts. Also, wtf are you talking about with cheating? Its a problem with all online gaming and Sony does at least as good a job at combating it as everyone else.

OT: The two reasons I haven't gotten a 360 is because you have to pay for XBL and I don't want to have to either run a 30 foot ethernet cable through four walls and a ceiling or shell out $100 for something that the gizmondo had built in. Although XBL is definitely better overall, its online gaming is not significantly better (other than the voice chat) than the PSN from what I have seen while playing my friend's 360. At least, its not enough better to make it worth paying any amount of money for it.

Other than those two issues though, its a great console and the HW reliability is a non-factor because of the 3-year warrenty.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

My biggest gripe with 360 is probably the shitty hardware. From noise of the crappy fans, crappy d-pad, shoddy hardware and noisy DVD drive. Other than that it's a great console.

I don't find battery thing to be an issue. I think it's great that MS provide solution for batter charging or you can just used standard AA batteries (both rechargeable kind or alkaline). Nintendo offer no solution and those Wii mote eat batteries like there's no tomorrow. Sixaxis will have to be send in when the internal better pack need replacing. (Mine barely used already not holding charge).

All your other complains are just nitpicking.  Blu-ray for 360?  Why?  Stand alone are better for that.  I don't know what you complain about as far as Live since most game allow someone to play as guest on your console from Halo to even most arcade game.  I mean really if you have to bring in stuff like 360 slim to make your top 10 list then yeah..

I've played on my friends PS3 and there was quite a bit of lag in resistance. Also there was some notable cheating going on. I can say what I please considering I played some PSN briefly, and not to mention home is garbage or atleast all my friends can agree that it is.

I'm just saying I prefer 360's online setup vastly over the PSN. I know some people who only own a PS3 will say otherwise but thats my opinion. Don't be cheap if you have a 360 and PS3, pay for the better service or don't but don't say that Sony is on even grounds for their free service. My friend also took 8 hours to d/l a friggin' demo off the PS network and it takes an hour at most to download one on XBL. I bet next your going to tell me It's his internet connection :)

My apologies, I also forgot to mention COD:WAW there was a lot of glitching going on but that probably wouldn't be fair to attach it to the PS3 considering those glitches are developer side and also on the 360.

It's just that simple.

^My PS3 is connected via WiFi to my access point, I have an el-cheapo 20Mb/s ADSL internet connection and Italy is certainly not known for high quality bandwidth. But the only time it took me an hour to download a demo was when the KZ2 demo downloads overwhelmed the PSN servers, I usually download 200-400KBps. And playing KZ2 online doesn't exhibit any major lag at all.
Maybe it's highly dependent on geographical location, and your friend(s)' PS3s get connected to overloaded PSN servers?
I'm just saying that PSN for me has always been as good as it can get, so I am very glad I'm getting such a good service for free, I can't imagine what could be better if I paid 50€ a year for it.
In other cases I suppose your mileage may vary.

What I hate about the XBL subscrption thing is that with silver you're not just given a basic/more laggy/less servers experience that you can upgrade by paying for gold. You can't play internet multiplayer, full stop. Coming from PC gaming, the very concept of having your software gimped in such a way is totally alien to me.

If I'm buying a multiplayer game like L4D, and part of the price goes to Microsoft, I don't see why some of that money doesnt cover a basic internet multiplayer service.
