1. The noise. My 360 was manufactured in 2008 and has been identified as having a falcon chipset and a Samsung disc drive but despite being a fairly new model, it's still unreasonably noisy. Sure, I could just install to my HDD but that leads me to my second point...
2. The extra components are too damned expensive for what they offer. I was lucky with my 20GB one with the $30 refurbished deal, but 20GB is hardly enough space when trying to reduce the noise.
3. No wireless adapter included. Living in an apartment where my router is on a different floor and is shared by several others makes it highly inconvenient to lack a wireless adapter. Running wires through walls and floors doesn't exactly excite many landowners.
4. Fee to play games online. Admittedly, I'm not a huge online gamer so this one is more of a filler to inflate my list to ten complaints.
5. MS Points. They're just terrible. I hate everything about them; how they have an unnecessary value to them; how you can't simply buy enough to cover the costs of what you are intending to purchase; and how you can't have any refunded back to you from any excess left.
6. The D-pad. It's bad. Not much need for discussion as it seems near-universally accepted as such
7. Batteries for controllers. Most electronic devices these days have their own internal rechargeable cells...
8. The start button is too close to the 'X' button! I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this complaint as I have never seen it brought up before. Although it doesn't happen as often as it used to when I first got a 360, I'm finding myself pausing a game at times instead of doing whatever function 'X' is supposed to provide.
9. No optical out. Not a major complaint, but I really wish there were.
10. Disc tray? Why not a slot-load? Evidently, I'm having difficulty coming up with any more.
Only 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are of real concern to me. The rest are there either to fill the list or are of little importance to me.
