Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: core gamers can`t never be satisfied

Erik, do you think escapism might be the proper word, then? It seems a good one to me - the particular experiences being described here are highly escapist (Link to the Past, Ocarina) whereas the liks of Wii Fit and Wii Sports are not. Four Sword Adventures (or any multiplayer game), DK Jungle Beat... These never let you forget that you're playing a game. I think that's a big pat of it.

The thing that is most aggravating is that THERE IS NO REASON the Wii cant have more games of those calibers. I would rather play almost every singe one of the 5 x games for ps3/xbox with a WiiMote. WiiMote vs gamepad in FPS... WiiMote OWNS.

But Nin wont lift a damn finger to get AAA & "core" IP from 3rd parties. ZERO effort. It genuinely sux... last thing i want to do is be forced to buy a 360 or PS3 cause Nin is arrogant.

Flame on!!

In your previous list you dismissed the Wii versions of the games in your list. If Nintendo did pay for exclusives or ports people would still complain and probably not buy the game. It would be a waste of money.

Obviously not. Those core gamers love when traditional games release.

Punch-Out isn't released yet.

And the Dead Rising port was an absolute piece of crap. No one should suffer through that. It only angers that crowd when they try to give them crap and call it catering.

she never answered the question. Where are the original IPs??

I have become somewhat disappointed in Nintendo as of late, if only because I've been rather bored by their release list this past year or so. Over the past year, I became really excited about MGS4, LBP, and KZ2 on the ps3. I ended up loving each game. Currently, I'm really stoked for Patapon 2 for the PSP (and of course Spirit Tracks for the DS, despite it being quite a ways off). I haven't seen anything that grabs me in quite the same way on the Wii since the release of Mario Kart last April, and it's disappointing because, imo, Nintendo are the best damn devs in the world, and I just never thought I'd be in this situation with them. I hoped for at least a new Wave Race or a new IP like Pikmin. Or maybe that rumored Kid Icarus sequel.

But my disappointment is more due to my tastes than any possible fault they might have. Animal Crossing just doesn't mean much to me, and I don't care for boxing games (or most sports games), Punch Out or not.

I'll just wait patiently until they announce Zelda Wii. Probably playing a good bit of Little King's Story whenever it gets released.

More importantly, they need to release a zelda game with decent difficulty. Playing Twilight Princess on the only difficulty it offers is like playing DOOM3 on it's easiest difficulty. Okami is an even worse offender when it comes to being too easy.

I completely agree with you that Zelda games need a difficulty setting.
