I hate pc elitists that act completely obnoxious and ignorant. That's great that you got to play whatever random game that you pretend is the pinnacle of innovation. I guess us unfortunate console owners are stuck playing Halo 3, Gears of War II, MGS4, Uncharted, Ninja Gaiden 2, SMBB, SMG, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, LBP, Resistance, God of War III, Fable II and a bunch of other really shitty games I won't bother listing since it would fill up too many pages.

I'm glad we see eye to eye on that. Cept maybe Fire Emblem, and Smash Bros.

It's amazing how closedminded PC fans can be. x.o Personally, I DO actually need to get a new PC so I'll be able to play Diablo III when it comes out. That's probably the only reason I have that makes me absolutely NEED a new PC or laptop.

Well if you've been playing aas long as I have you work like this:

You have a best of genre/type game, then every game that comes out is matched up against it. If it's not as good it sucks plain and simple. If it's better then it's basically the 2nd coming of wahtever god you belive in. Hence why most of those suck.

So pc gaming is both about Superior graphic capability to consoles as well as playing 8 year old games. Interesting.

Not my fault they are better. If you rated how good a game is by graphics however, indeed the PC is the best by far in that regard. I don't care about graphics honestly. That's why I sitll play Thief II and Deus Ex.

So you do still play Deus Ex. While the single player was good, it was not good enough for me to keep playing after 8 years. And the multiplayer that they added was dog shit so you cannot honestly be playing that.

Well no, but when i get in the mood to play a single-player game of that genre, I go to Deus Ex. Same with HL2 for shooters. Yes I play through new games, but it's once and done, unless of course they are better than the other one.

I've been gaming for about 20 years (1988, I was 3-4...atari ftw)....I guess it's because I didn't even play a game on the computer till I was about 10 much less own a computer until I was about 14. So I guess because i've played console gaming most of my life, I enjoy that more because, well...I've played them more.

I went from an 8-bit green blob computer, to the NES for MANY years, then to the PC. I'm never touching a platforming game, or any game with platforming elements, on the PC without a gamepad. At the same time I have yet to see a good shooter on a console. They each have their place, and since the consoles started to invade the PC's they have started to suck, and hard. (The Wii isn't quite there yet).

I disagree vlad. Explain in detail why shooters suck on consoles.

I'm guessing that could be where we differ. I really don't like shooters. ;)

Wel that also applies to Sport games for the PC and RTS games on the Consoles. They just shouldn't exist. I would say turn based strategy as well because it ould be utter hell to navigate using a controller, but it wouldn't be game breaking, besides, JRPGs are TBS games anyways. Only overlap of games should be some RPGs and some Driving games. Since those are the only ones I've seen done decently on both (hoenstly I haven't seen ana amazing RPG outside of JRPGs on consoels either, too much beat-em-up in most of them).

Slow, require no skill whatsoever, and harder to control (hence why they are forced to be slow). Also generally simple. Yeah you can select classes, but ultimately your class does one thing and that's it. Also most classes, no matter what they are, are slow as hell. Yes, you can say TF2 has classes too, but just look at the Scout. He might as well be coming out of UT or Quake3 when playing with him. The last good shooter has been Left4Dead. Surprisingly it was just a port to the 360 and it was geared towards the PC mostly.

I disagree completely.  The reason they have to make characters in PC FPS games so fast is because it is so incredibly easy to aim.  So if a game does not provide a means to dodge, or jump fast, being out in the open is certain death.  I believe that because of this ultra precision that comes with the mouse, it has created a paradigm shift in FPS design, not because of consoles.  There is no where else to go with arena deathmatch.  Which is the only way you could enforce these dodging or ultra fast movement gameplay mechanics.  And you say it takes no skill whatsoever to play, this is completely and utterly false.  If there were no skill, everyone would be able to beat everyone else, this is entirely not the case.  Different strategies is all.

And the vast majority of console fps games do not offer classes.
