All I can see is that government is taking a step in the banks and corps and keeping them from exploiting civvies like they have been for years. I don't see how that limits the people from doing what they want to do.

The majority of conservatives want that? They are they most divisive people in this whole thing. How many times did I hear during the campaigning that some conservatives wanted to secede.

Lots and lots as I recall. Bush used the old "terrorism" excuse to deny people freedom and liberties.

I mean the guy just whipped up a frenzy and made everyone scared of Muslims. Who the hell is scared of muslims seriously? They are genuinely the nicest most caring people I know, anyone who has muslim friends relises this within five minutes. They are unfortunate casualties from a big brother society.

Lots of freedoms for the USA were lost under Bush. Then he started the ball rolling on a huge recession and left Obama to pick up the pieces. You know what, Bush bashing is really big in Britain and when people started I used to stick up for him and give him the benefit of the doubt, but each time he royally f**ked something up I found it harder and harder to actually do this. In the end I couldn't be bothered.

what freedoms....how about this forced volunteering bill obama is trying to get through, how about socialized medical(which will send health care down the tubes), how about our rights to bare arms that is slowly being taken away...i could go on....the thing is, is that i love this county and so respect all of those who have fought to keep it and it saddens me to think where it may end up. im not saying that we have lost all our freedoms i just think that we need to do what we can to make sure that we dont....this is still a great county and i just pray that it will continue to be....

That wa sover 200 years ago. Even though most of them are still Christians, Christianity does not represent 100% of the American population.

Bold - That's a good thing, right? I mean owning a gun for the sake of owning a gun is very strange to me, it's like if someone brought a barrel of Napalm for the hell of it. Owning a gun for sport or something is fine, it has a use, but relaxed gun laws that allow people to have a gun willy nilly outside of pracftical uses is asking for trouble.

You should have credentials and a good history and clearance and the works. You should get a fukkin iq test for all I care.

Way too many crazed people buying guns at gunshows without a background check or any kind of wait.
You have the right to bear arms, but you don't have the right to kill anyone, and unfortunately the two are very tightly intertwined. It's hard to strike a balance, but it's better to err on the side of caution.
