I find the whole premise of the game to be horrible and absolutely wrong. however once you start outright banning stuff were does the line in the sand end. I find many of the shooters like GTA and Madworld way to violent for my taste, but does that mean they should be banned. what makes all the attention sad is that it shines a bad limelight onto the videogane industry. it already gets enough bad press each time there is a school shooting. the easiest thing to do would just be to slap an AO rating on it there by effectively killing any chance for it to suceed. every business in existence wants to make money and if they don't they should cease to exist. If you don't like the product make your voice heard simply don't buy it or download it. In todays world money talks and hopefully this product will be an utter failure.

Well folks. Simulating rape is not nearly as bad as blowing someone to pieces. We're all evil bastards who are desensitized to violence, so why not enjoy the experience?

It's not like most of the violent games we play, the core focus is centered around the enjoyment of killing innocent people. The rape game was designed to entertain it's user soley for one purpose, and that's raping innocent people. There's no story to it, there's no reason, no logic, no morals, it's just plain detrimental.

Anyone who rapes someone or is sincerely amused simulating something like that deserves backlashing of that sort. It's not macho bullshit. That's my belief. Your belief is different. I don't have to resort to calling your words BS even though I don't agree with them.  If you took the time to read through these threads, you would have noticed a female saying something...think I remember the word castration in her post? 

It's the simulation aspect that makes this so much worse than the murdering in other games. Killing in GTA is extremely unrealistic, as you are able to go on these sprees, killing hundreds upon hundreds of people. You can take bullets, punches and knife wounds, but you can easily continue. It's not simulation, it's not training. The same can be said for a game like Madworld, where it's so obvious that this isn't how anything in real life works. This on the other hand, is very real. You stalk victims and then proceed to sexually violate them, just as you would in real life. I have girl friends who say being raped is their number one fear, over being murdered, because it is something that scars you so deeply and can never be undone emotionally. Any game that essentially trains its players to do something like that is disgusting and should be heavily considered for censorship.

Every argument against the game goes pretty much as is against games like Manhunt, GTA, Hitman, Madworld and i do remember the whining about then bans and AO rating of Manhunt 2.

When you are accepting a certain level of violence in a game, you really can't pick violence "that fits you". If you don't like the game, you just don't buy it.

As for glorification of violence, the vast majority of games that involve killing are glorifying the violence in them.

Well, I understand you guys, but this game isn't a rape "simulator". The women in this game likely won't scream for help and won't try to defend themselves physically in any way, but at most whisper a "no".
At the end they'll likely even get an orgasm (no, i didn't play this game), so how is this a "simulator" (a "simulation" would indicate it had anything to do with real life - which this doesn't) or even "rape" ? It's just 100% wishful-thinking and a kind of fetish in Japan.

Let me explain this a bit further:

A real raper assaults women first and foremost to dominate them and hurt them, sometimes to get "revenge" for some kind of traumatic experiences with women in their childhood.
Another type of real rapers are people that have no empathic feelings at all and violently satisfy their own lust, without even being able to understand that they just deeply hurt someone. To them women are merely objects.

This kind of game is different. It's for people who have the delusion that at least some women actually want to be gropped and "raped". Most of those people don't expect any resistance and will easily stop an assault if they are met with real opposition (some might turn into "real raper type 2", though - the chances for that should be well higher than for someone ,who doesn't have this kind of fantasies, so I guess it's very fair to class them as a high risk group for rapings).

In the highly unlikely case an assault plays out like like it does in the game it wouldn't even be "rape" (imo) as the woman shows her own free will by not trying to get away from the situation in any way (and at some point enjoying the situation), so it's actually just one very weird and misguided way of "flirting" (by both sides).

The graphics suck!

So will this be Wii exclusive?

Face it: it's crass titillation of a dark instinct. Every reason and logic and moral doesn't change the fact that you're enjoying it because you feel cool and powerful and in control when the blood spurts everywhere.

@Lafiel: That isn't really a delusion. Roughly 80-90% of women i've talked to about the subject have some level of rape fantasies. Basically there's only two terms that needs to fulfill, the guy(s) or girl(s) need to be certain type of people and the victim needs to be already sexually "tuned" (feeling horny).
