I'm sorry, but Metallica having one comeback album does not make them the biggest. It's geat, and I love the band, and I'm happy for them, but they are not even close to being the biggest of the last twenty years.

And keep in mind, you did say in terms of sales in the last twenty years. Guns 'n' Roses is just as big, by that metric.

Appetite for Destruction is the best-selling 1st album ever, i'll give them that, but to compare a band that went from hero to zero after only 4 albums (Appetite, Lies, Use your Illusion 1, 2) and less than 10 years of career, with a band that started a trend in the rock/metal scene, sold millions without the radio even touching them, sold even more when they were known by the mainstream, and after more than 25 years of career they're still selling like crack, selling out arenas, winning Grammy's, and even returning to roots succesfully??? please, Metallica wins hands down...

The only presented metric was record sales in the past two decades. I know GnR crashed and burned a lot faster. That doesn't change the fact of the sales.
