from what i saw.. both version were close.. the ps3 got the more nature friendly shots whereas the 360 got some dingy back ally shots.. mountain scenery and plant detail do look slightly superior on the ps3, but overall both versions look so similar there is no winner except us gamers..

provided some1 can port all this detail INTO A REAL GAME...

We'll just have to wait and see a game in motion, although I do think it might run a little better on PS3.

This is the truth. Who cares if one manages to outdo the other one slightly. That's not really a big advantage. Besides, I wouldn't care if an xbox-game ran slightly better or worse as long as my game does what it's supposed to do.

However, it is quite funny to see some people state that it doesn't mean a lot because it's only "slightly" better when comparisons show that a 360 game slightly plays better than a ps3 game, because then it's often "LOLZ @ Cell" or "Xbox superiority confirmed" and stuff like that.

Yes, it is overexposed. On the 360 shot the detail of the ground is still visible whereas the PS3 is just white. I'll give you I didn't notice the lack of shadows on the objects under that light, but look to the mid/top of the scene. The shadowing from the rails/posts above the scene is much more detailed on the 360.

Good for them. They couldn't brag about graphics during the ps1/ps2 era with N64 and GC/Xbox outpowering sony's previous systems.

Mostly I'm just amused on account of all those who insisted consoles would never see visuals on par with Crysis this generation.

Granted, a good PC build will still push higher resolutions or higher details or better frame rates (not all barring high end builds), but the point is budget PC "Crysis" builds are pretty much moot if you can play the same games with comparable visuals on a $200 Xbox 360.

It also seems to show which way the wind is blowing, and it's not necessarily in favor of either PC or console; it's everywhere a developer sees a potential green market. It's a good call by Crytek and so far, pretty impressive results.

cryengine will run better on ps3, combined with extra bluray space it will look great.

Checks the source of the article. Biased Playstaion website would obviously say that they are paid by Sony.
