Read the ign interview with Denise, not even Cassa knows wtf hes talking about. COD WAW is a good example of his ignorance.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Please kind sir I insist on these flowers.

Don't expect many more M rated games (or games with a budget for that matter) that have not already been announced.
Madworld was a key game for the future of the wii. Its failure means the wii will continue to be a haven for shovelware. Expect the latter half of 09 to be horrible.

Yep, we're just getting E for Everyone now. Starting with Dead Space: Extraction, where the enemies will be replaced by Jigglypuffs

Why use Jigglypuff as an example? Why? <3 Jigglypuff

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

there will be more mature games for wii...with madworld I think they would like amazing sales but i think they will be happy with moderate ones because it is a new IP and something very different than what has been done before

Also, I think they will be watching The Conduit more closely and will expect bigger sales for that title. If the The Conduit flops (i.e. sells less than 500,000) then the Wii might be in trouble.

With that being said, there will be always Mature games on the Wii because companies like Capcom will always port there stuff (and create rail shooters)

What I hope that developers realize is that if you release a Mature rated game for $49.99, that you should probably make it longer than three hours.

How are the Call Of Duty: World At War sales?

Nintendo systems still don't get many rated M games. Most of the games I play are rated M. The more the merrier I say.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Its kind of scary to see that despite how obvious the sarcasm is behind the OP, there are not so smart people trolling the weekly charts and Madworld page with identical tirades. Are fanboys that jealous of this game being on the Wii? It's not like it would have sold differently on other consoles and I doubt most of the people crying about the game's sales would have bought it (or even payed attention to it), and yet there are Sony trolls that don't even post on the forums any more that have crawled out of their holes just to pile up on the Madworld bandwagon.

Madworld's sales are in the range that had to be expected.

It has sold 70k so far worldwide, this is after two days of sales in Europe and two weeks of sales in NA. I think a multiplier of 4 is to be expected at least, which would put the games sales at 280k. If you compare this to games like Killer 7 or No More Heroes that are comparably violent and artistic, it is really normal.

Also, I think the game isn't very frontloaded. Many people, myself included, may wait a while and buy it when they are in the right mood to play it. This makes me believe that the game probably has a higher multiplier than 4, making it possible to even reach 500k which definitely had to be considered a success.

I don't know about you, but that's actually more disturbing than if he were holding a knife.
