RB might be better game than GH, but when you can't buy it doesn't matter how good it is.
^^ and when you don't have the game you can't download the money-making DLC...
(even though I like GHWT better)
| Kuro_Neko_13 said: Well, If you want to get down to it, I personally liked GH:WT better than RB2. As I said, I like them both, but GH:WT seems more fun to me. I like the slider-bar/tap-strumming (sitar-like) abilities, open strumming on the bass, star power on drums, the character creator, graphics, Guest appearances, exclusive DLC's like metallica & Jimi, and song creator. Oh, and better compatibility is nice. But its all up to the consumer. Opinions vary from person to person. You can't go and say "Oh RB2 on Wii is a better product than GH." |
well personally I'd say get both since they are both not bad and like you said, "better" is a matter of opinion. I like GH instruments better than RB ones though, I don't know how it is on 360 but you can use GH ones with RB2 on Wii.

Funny how Microsoft had exclusive adverts for the game though, at least in the UK :P.
I can't believe the 360 version would be ready sooner then a PS2 or Wii version, all they're really doing is making songs 0_o.
On 360, all instruments are compatible with both games...

But the Wii still has some compatibility issues T_T
PS3's have been fixed...
the wii version of rock band could sell way more if they actually produced more of them. I have people asking me for it every day, but it always sells out as soon as we get it. I think EA is just under producing it.
| Kuro_Neko_13 said: ^^^ Yeah, but at that rate, wouldn't parents buy GH:III Legends of Rock instead of GH:WT? |
Except Rockband 1 had a huge price cut and I remember someone mentioning that it is much cheaper to buy the full set for RB1 then just the disc for RB2, than it was to buy the full RB2.
Check out the Christmas sales for RB1 on the Wii, they are more than the result of normal Christmas hype.

@TWRoO:
I see what you mean slightly, but the same thing happened with GHIII apparently, only slightly less dramatic.

EA's mistake was releasing a gimp RB shortly before the release of GHWT. Whatever momentum RB wii had gained at the time of GHWT release it was completely lost when the much better product arrived. So the momentum shifted to GHWT and thus negatively affecting RB2.
EA might as well hold off in releasing RB at all, and release a full RB2 with the entire song list from RB available for download at the same time as GHWT released on the Wii. Then wii owners would have seen RB2 as the better product.
"¿Por qué justo a mí tenía que tocarme ser yo?"
RB2 on Wii is a joke. It's sad because it's the better game. I own both on 360 and I think the OP is right about Europe. I'l add one another reason why GH sells better in Europe: they actually give us something besides American music. There is a french song and a spanish song in GH:WT and that's pretty cool.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
