Forums - Gaming - Is there anything more to come from GDC?

I know there is some sort of Bioware event, but apart from that is there anything more to come?

We will be seeing stuff for Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins and Ratchet and Clank: Crank in Time on GTTV, but should I be expecting any other announcements?

Lionhead's panel is tomorrow, as is another panel from Microsoft. So who knows. GDC usually does not have a ton of game announcements.

Im still hoping for Lionhead news. The GTTV promo says theres a mystery game unveiling in their episode, I wonder whether this is the same as Modern Warfare 2 or something new again.

Sony and Fumito Ueda haven't gone yet, their suppose to be today

I think it is the Ratchet & Clank Teaser, as it was unknown when the promo was first shown.

Oh, I forgot about Lionhead, is it morning or afternoon? Hopefully it is "Project Dimitri"

I think its afternoon.

Anyway this just in from Molyneux @ Kotaku:

While Lionhead's Peter Molyneux seems to be working on Fable III, he also mentioned that his studio is working on a non-Fable game which he hopes to show at E3.

"Lionhead shouldn't be thought of as just doing Fable," he said. "Definitely not. In fact we've been working on, working incredibly hard, on something else. We haven't been allowed to talk about that something else because the rule is we have to have something to show, to prove it. Those days of high media concept are gone now and quite rightfully so."

He added that they are getting close to having something showable, but when I asked if E3 would be the unveiling of his non-Fable game, he sort of ducked the question.

"It's fascinating how E3 has turned itself around," he said. "It was a show that was on its last legs and now suddenly everyone is going 'Hey, it's going to be a big E3'. I think this year E3 is going to be pretty big on announcements from everybody. It's just a perfect time in the industry. We're kind of building ourselves up and saving our energy for these big announcements.

"Walking out there talking to those developers, it's "Wow, this E3 is going to be exciting."

This maybe bad news that nothing will be revealed at GDC though :|

The DLC news is good enough for me for a while:

"The next DLC comes out in the spring," he said. "We're in the spring now so don't think months, think more like weeks. It's called See the Future."

Molyneux says that the new DLC will be much more story driven and give gamers a glimpse of things to come.

"The first (DLC) was done very close to Fable II and the team was tired and we sort of pushed ourselves to get something out early for the fans," he said. "This time we've taken a little bit more time on it, it's a little bit more story driven. It answers some of the questions, if you're a real fan of Fable, it answers some of those questions. It's going to test you a little bit emotionally as well. But I think the real unique thing here is it starts to tease and hint at what it starting to happen in the world of Albion and what is happening in the future."

I think we will see the new DLC at GDC, and maybe some other hints
