Forums - Gaming - I Reckon COD Franchise Is The Best FPS Genre.

OK just my opinion but with my 360 broke I fired up COD finest hour on my PS2.

Whilst it had its shortcomings for its time it was a really good game.

So get my 360 back and fire up WAW, man incredible. I am only on vendetta but this game is so good.

Really apart from COD 3 this franchise has managed to stay top dog for all the right reasons.

I also loved the MOH franchise but that seems to be finished now.

 

So what are your thoughts am I alone in this or can anybody remember another one that was as good over such a long period.

@ reask, Finest Hour is one of the non-IW developed games... Anyway, I think even the Treyarch ones are great, I did really enjoy the PS2 CoD games. IW better not drop the CoD name in MW 2

I think I agree with you, but I only buy the Infinity Ward games. COD4 is still the best online FPS around.

Haha, the first two CoD games were the greatest (+UO). Then 4, WaW. I never played the older console games, aside from the first level of Finest Hour, which was fun enough.

well i have only played cod4 and waw but they are both great. Id rate cod waw 81% and cod 4 94%

I only bought cod4 from the franchise and it was awesome. I prefer killzone 2 though. I've had cod4 since it launched however so I may be blinded by kz2's "newness"

Didn't they already announce that they did just that? Or was that info just assumed based on the trailer?

It's complicated, nobody, not even Activision or Infinity Ward seems to be entirely sure what the hell is going on. I think it will still be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
