Forums - Sony - A prob with my PS3...

My 2 months old 80G PS3 is starting to show me a certain problem...

Each time you eject a disc, you get a nice, straight scratch from the center to the edge.. thanks to that, my SUGC BD is quite scratched up ATM...

Yesterday it was completely fine. And no, I didn't drop my console or move it while I was playing a disc.

Anyone else with this prob?

Edit: Prob fixed. Just wipe your disc with a soft cloth ;)

it might be knocked off track or somthing, this happened to my Guilty Gears

strange, this is the first time I'm hearing of this problem

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

This is kinda strange does it happen to any other disk??,

Problem fixed. It's dust in my disc drive. Dust aeems to stick to my disc through static electricity. Nothing a microfibre wipe can't fix. All my discs are crystal clean now!

Never saw dust that's so scratch-realistic though. PS3 wins yet again.

Once for that unscratchable BD-ROM, that never seems to scratch no matter how I wipe, and twice for scratch realistic dust.

If your PS3 starts giving you this, wipe the disc with a soft cloth. That fixes it!

im telling ya! dust is mutating and someday... AND SOMEDAY IT'LL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY TOLD ME WHEN THEY ABDUCTED ME
