Forums - Gaming - What are the worst Clichés in WRPGs?

Inspired by JGarret's thread

I've always been a fan of Western RPGs.
Baldur's Gate, TESII: Daggerfall, Lands of Lore etc.

It would be interesting to see what clichés you guys 'can conjure up'

Around the Network

Look I am a manly man with rippling biceps and facial stubble.

Overly masculine dribble of course ^^

^ Not really especially when you can play as girl in most wrpg's

Orcs

I'm sick of seeing WRPG protagonists who aren't spiky haired teenagers.

Around the Network

I don't play many WRPG's but..

I don't know...

Being able to kill guards with ease. Sometimes with the weakest weapon in the game.

Ugly characters.

Useless Races.

Large overworld but limited access to transportation. I mean, you walk for what seems like hours and you don't get a horse until much later.. or you kill someone riding one/steal it from someone.

Uninspired dating systems.

Pixel Art can be fun.

most WRPGs have no fucking direction. Many may complain about JRPGs linearity, but what about WRPGs? They are too fucking open that they don't even have an engaging plot.

I haven't really noticed any cliches. We need more WPRG's. Lots more.

English accents.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

There are little to no cliches in wRPGs.
