Forums - Nintendo - Is anyone else dissapointed by the Zelda announcment?

a litltle bit, because i wanted for a Zelda's Wii game... but this is better than nothing

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

I am really hoping for a New Zelda game on the Wii, teaser trailer at E3 2009.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

I didn't expect any Zelda announcement at GDC, so I wasn't disappointed!

However, I'm not that into handhelds (I own both a DS and PSP, and haven't finished a game on either), and would kill for a console Zelda.  I suppose I was disappointed in that regard.  I didn't think we'd see a new handheld Zelda before a new console Zelda.

as long as this one has better dungeons itll be fine. that wa sthe worst thing about PH. that said, having the abillity to contol another charatcer looks cool and im glad thta the series is moving forward

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

proud soldier of nintopia

If anything I was pleasantly surprised. A new DS Zelda didn't even cross my mind, but looking back it should have been a given.

There was no chance Nintendo would use GDC for a console Zelda, though.

ummm.. what do you expect the grafix to look like on ds??
i mean it looks exactly like Phantom hourglass's grafix (which are really good for a DS game)

geees

hello how are you.

uber-excited

Agreed that zelda is zelda, but i do get tired of the cell-shading

Ok I know I'm stepping into a world of hurt here, but I do not see how this is "good news."

We we're all expecting a new Zelda game, however a Home console game, not a DS game...and one that imo looks down right horrible. I can honestly not see how everyone else think it looks good. I honestly truely think that if this game had someone else other then Link and the title of Zelda in it's name it would be considered shovelware garbage.

I know graphics aren't the thing with most nintendo people atm, and I understand that this is a DS not a super computer, but my god.....it looks like crap. It seriosly looks like mumbled garbage, I expect a lot more then this from a main nintedo game. The gameplay does not look at all intriguing to me and from the trailer it looks like im gonna got extremely bored of the same poor qaulity dungeon texture copy over and over again.

Sigh...look, im really not trying to troll here if that's what some of you guys are gonna try stabbing at. I love Zelda, and i just am not liking this game so far at all. I would be happier if it was still sprites like in 4 swords, cause right now it really really looks horrid, and looks like it will play horrid as well.

I'm guessing you haven't played Phatom Hourglass.

Go get it. It's a pretty good game, and Spirit Tracks seems to be a direct sequel.

I hate kiddy looking Zelda universe.

I do not mean 'child link', I mean kiddy looking.

I also prefer an older Link though, so this is a double dissapointment for me.  I won't buy it.

I do not understand this perspective at all. Please elaborate on it for me, if you don't mind, so that I may be illuminated.

You know how it is. Some people are all about the presentation. They don't eat delicious pate because it looks like dog crap or they buy a crappy Sunfire instead of a reliable Civic because the Sunfire looks sportier.
