Exclusive - adjective - single or sole

This. I hate the fact that both sides twist the definition to benefit their lists.

Too true.  I know many think its pedantic, and console only gamers think that the true test of exclusive is 'console exclusive' but I think a game is either truly exclusive or not.  If its on 360/PC then sure this hurts PS3 (which is the point for many posters) but it still means I don't need a 360 to play it.  I have another choice open to me, one that reduces by one the sales of 360 consoles.

A true exclusive should require you to need that platform to play the game.  Currently if you want Halo 3 and Gears 2 you need a 360.  If you want to play MGS IV or Uncharted you need a PS3.  Those are exclusives (I admit that past form indicates Gears 2 and Halo 3 might show up on PC eventually, but I think MS might delay this a great deal this time around).

Mass Effect and Last Remnant are not true exclusives as I simply have to buy them and install them on my PC to play them as opposed to buying them for 360.

another broken promise by Square Enix. Not only do they completely retract the fact the game was suppose to release simultaneously on both systems then is delayed for PS3, but the game is awful to boot.

Not really hyped for this game anymore. x360 can keep it!
