I'm all in favor of 4-player beat-em-ups (TMNT etc) and as many good fighters as possible (Marvel vs Capcom would be a nice start).

I'm very disappointed in their opening line-up; why on earth did they not at least include Donkey Kong, the arcade game that essentially launched Nintendo's gaming success? It was less than a week ago that I lamented the lack of a good version of DK anywhere on the VC, and I thought (with better timing than I realized) how great an arcade section would be, but I just assumed that it would have to include Donkey Kong right from the start. When I heard the announcement yesterday and ran to check out the new section on the shop channel, my only reaction was: why these games? What a terrible debut. Let's hope they start offering some recognizable titles next week.

Noooooo. I wanted to suggest that.

Now all the games I want have already been said.

I wonder if the Virtual COnsole Arcade ( lol ) is the first virtual platform with variable prices because I doubt that more recent arcade games ( i.e. '90 ) would be sold for only 500/600 Nintendo Points.
If the price range is indeed 500/600 then I expect mostly japanese arcade games of the golden age ( '80 ).

However a list of future release was leaked:

Interesting: Namco Bandai's games are 800 points in Japan, but only 500-600 in the US. Nice!

Here's the full lineup according to http://www.inside-games.jp/news/343/34392.html:

March 25

Star Force (Tecmo, 500 points)
Space Harrier (Sega, 800 points)
Gaplus (Namco Bandai, 800 points)
Solvalou (Namco Bandai, 800 points)
The Return of Ishtar (Namco Bandai, 800 points)
Emeraldia (Namco Bandai, 800 points)

Plus one a week from now on from the following list:

Assault
Galaga '88
Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle
Cosmo Gang: The Video
Cybersled
SkyKid
Starblade
Splatterhouse
Xevious
Solvalou
Dragon Spirit
Dragon Saber
Dragon Buster
Tower of Druaga
Knuckle Heads
Numan Athletics
Burning Force
Pac-Mania
Finest Hour
Phelios
Hopping Mappy
Marvel Land
Mappy

TMNT and Simpsons are definite wants for me, as well as Golden Axe, a Mortal Kombat game and maybe a light gun game (Time Crisis?).

I think the Simpsons is pretty much the most must-have possible title, for my money.

I wish for The Grid. I've wanted that game on a console for forever.

I dont get it, are these games any different than MAME emulation ports?

Upgraded graphics, sounds, online? If not, its a tough sell for me as I have my PC hooked up to my tv and cam play almost every arcade game eve rmade in perfect quality...using my saturn pad or X-Arcade sticks.

The only game I'd be interested in Street Fighter 3rd strike, perfect arcade port...this is the only game that doens't run on MAME emulator yet.
