An argument could be made that that sequence isn't actually canonical, since it's just an Easter Egg. Yes, this is important, because every word is effected by the assumption that that scene actually happens.

I am not one to forget things very much either, so even if I went back to putting that game on my list a year from now I will still know all that was just written in this thread.

Once he mentioned "Castle sinks behind them" I knew my experience in the game was done for.

Like MM says, it's still worth it. No questions asked.

I don't have it right now. I only own SoTC. I have it set up to come after I return Sonic Unleashed.

I'll probably wait until a month or so before the new game releases before I have it shipped. It won't make much difference when it comes as I can easily look past graphics, whether they are "dated" or not.
