Yea, you really don't need a 32gb unless you plan on d/ling every VC/WW game. My 2gb has tons of space left and I moved all the VC games to it. I would suggest 8gb prob if you can get it for $12-15. Wait on the 32gb until the price drops to $30-40.

I wonder if this will affect GHWT and RB2? I understand they have a 200 block limitation.

i'd say WAIT to buy another sd card till the one you have is actually full. right now, i'm using a measly 1gb card, and i can probably live off that one for another 6 months to a year or so (it's a little over half full right now, so yeah).
by the time i buy a new one in 6 months to a year from now, they will be even cheaper.
come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

The 40MB limit wasn't because of space limitations (well, it partially was) but it was also discouraged to go bigger because of the long download times. They may up the size slightly, but I doubt we'll see 256MB games.

@thekitchensinks's video.
I think David Hinkle might get into trouble with that video... "homebrew channel" lol.
I think it works splendidly.
I've transferred my entire VC and WiiWare collection to my SD card now (granted, 90% of it was already on there). Quite a nice change this is, I must say! The load times before a game starts are quite acceptable, with even the biggest stuff (N64/TGCD games) only taking about 15 seconds to load. And that's on my slow old 1GB SD card; on a Class 6 SDHC card, I'm sure the load times are almost nonexistent. Overall, I highly approve.
Oh, just a slight note since nobody has mentioned it yet: the games do still access their save data from the Wii internal memory. Meaning that there is ostensibly a size limit still. But since few VC games take up more than 4 blocks for save data, and most WiiWare use less than 20 blocks, it'll take a long while indeed for those to fill up your system memory.

That is frankly the next hurdle. Most modern connections can download that in a matter of minutes (at most) but the current loading screen does a bad job of showing progress. An old school bar would work great.
