There were too many announcements for the PS3 lately... Three new RPG's coming this year + FFXIII demo released next month = that killed the 360 pretty fast.

I also thought MS console would be above 8 000 for a few more weeks, but SOIV and RE5 probably were the last big games for the console.

Would be really nice if sony could sell another 2M PS3's this year in japan. With FFXIII released this year, that's possible IMO.

5 millions PS3 in japan would make it viable for more and more RPG's.

It's important to remember that the PS3 was riding off a nice price cut in November of 2007.

360 doing exactly as I thought I'd do. However I'm most surprised at the jump for DS. I mean what happened. Did I miss something haha. PS3 may come to a leveling point around Wii's 20k which may leave us at a dead tie for weekly console dominance for awhile.

Interesting market with lots of radical changes lately but back to more of the same at the extremes. DS on top and 360 on the bottom.

DSi came back strong this week but PS3 still topped Wii. Bad sign for 360 back to 5,100 with nothing big on the way.
