Forums - Sony - Target Debunks PS3 Price Drop @ GDC Rumor?!

Extremely skeptical of a price drop in the first place.  The important thing is that whatever it takes for SONY to keep making and pushing quality 1st/2nd party games then that's the best thing that can happen to current and future PS3 owners.

This definitely confirms taht there will be no price drop. You're not going to throw in two games with your system and then drop the price. You do one or the other.

And throwing in two games with the 80gb SKU makes the 160gb far less enticing. For $100 more you get one less game and a larger HDD. Why spend the extra $100?

I hope Sony rasies the price of the Ps3 just to throw everyone off.

you know, to keep things fresh.
...

Unless you live in Canada like me, cuz the Nintendo already did that.
(The Wii went up by 20$CAN..stupid weak economy...)

So it's $289 now? geez

I was expecting the pricecut to be announced at E3, with the price actually being cut around September/October for the big Holiday Season sales. Not really a surprise to me

Why would they sabotage 3-4 months of sales by telling everyone to wait for a price cut?
