Forums - Sony - The next Metal Gear to be exclusive?

I'm positive it will be a PS360 game. I can't imagine them making another exclusive, unless Sony pays Konami big time.

Given Kojima has more pull at konami now, theres no chance in hell he will water down his beloved franchise to make it work on inferior hardware.

4 million sold and launched on 10 millin user base, no need for going multi.

Your right why would they want to make more profit?

Konami said they were going multiplatform from now on, since MGS4 is the only major Konami title not on 360, they could be referring to nothing else.

Considering that Kojima complained about not having enough space on a blu-ray disk, I don't think he'd be very excited at the prospect of fitting MGS5 on like 10 DVDs. MGS5 in all likelihood could be the first 2-disc blu-ray game.

Well, why doesn't S-E release their 360-exclusive JRPGs on the PS3 then?  They would be so much more profit by doing so.

Konami can say whatever they want, but the one thing they won't do is piss off Kojima.

likely exclusives, kojima have a higher position in konami now.

Maybe because MS paid for exclusivity. Anyway X360 userbase is > than PS3 userbase so it makes more sense.

Not unless it's on Wii. The cost of developing for two HD consoles is higher than for one, but necessary to make money on games nowadays; that market is just too small to sustain third parties on only one console anymore.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Wow kojima must be a god for you... lol

I think Konami/Kojima did the PS3 and its fans a tremendous favor by giving us MGS4 as an exclusive. In the current environment, it isn't fair or likely to expect a game the size of MGS5 to be a console exclusive. I hope they give MGS5 a large multi-platform budget and really show us the capabilities of the PS3 and the 360.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
