Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Balance board support confirmed for Punch Out!!

http://www.balanceboardblog.com/2009/03/punch-out-wii-supports-wii-balance.html

Whew, that's a big relief for me. I'd much rather dodge with my balance than tilt wiimote and nunchuk like in Wii Sports. Now I won't have to be too disappointed if Don King Boxing turns out to suck.

meh

this is excellent news. Wonder if they will have BB setup tomorrow at GDC. Ign has said its playable at the show. Can't believe they didn't say anything, on podcast, when someone asked a question about Nintendo BB support in games.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

neat... the game looks easy in the trailer though

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Well now I'm interested in Punch Out but it's still below Don King on my 'to get' list.

meh, I'll probably play it NES Style.
