Forums - Nintendo - No life left in hyrule?

I love twilight princess but one of the things that annoyed me was the towns in it felt lifeless. The reason i say this is because after recently playing MM and WW i find both Clocktown and Windfall isle are full of life (Windfall less) with people going on with their lives. Whereas TP feels lifeless in comparison, it may have hyrule castle with above 50 people going about but there aren't any that have personality like in the previous games. Anyone else agree?

Yes, I noticed this, too. I think it's because "Twilight Princess" was a launch title - they had to get it out in time for the launch of the Wii, and that meant they didn't flesh out the storyline, boss battles or scenery. There just wasn't much character development, anywhere.

Yeah i felt the same way. It wouldn't hurt if the next title had more towns with more people in them.

The series has been going down hill since OoT, they need to bring back the guys who made that one.

I figured half the team of TP made OOT...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I don't think that was a goal of Twilight Princess. They seemed to opt for the 'fewer distractions' route and this game had plenty of content. Tons of it. I would have liked to see more interaction in towns and more characters there, but those things seem like tiny points compared to the whole of the game.

Could it be possible that the reason was that they just hit the wall on the Gamecube's disk storage space? The game was developed for the Gamecube with only the control changed for Wii. The smaller disk theory would also explain why the music was still midi and there was no voice acting.

It's just a thought, but it sounds reasonable to me.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Twilight Princess was my favorite one! How can you say its going downhill. .......

The series lacks something, it can't stand with the big boys of gaming, the sound stands no chance with games like FF, it lacks the graphics, it lacks replay value, and the fact that they have no voice's for the people is a major downfall.

They need to totally re-invent this series to save it. Make it darker and more of a dark story to it, toss in a adult link and just get rid of the whole kiddy feel of it.

Of course this is just what i feel about the series and some of you may feel that they should go back to the GC style one they had. This is not a flame on the series i just want something more from it.

it isnt going downhill they have all been as good as each other, and in my opinion i can only see great things for the next zelda, since it will take full advantage of everythings the wii's got and im sure nintendo are gonna make the best zelda ever.
