I am guessing this would drive them nuts then huh? This is like a double whammy for them. Double dead!

Just to add to my previous post, me and my family have a habit of bringing in strays that have no homes. People say we should bring them to a shelter, but odds are not that high that most of them will be picked up and brought into a home.

Well PETA has no problem if u kill a dead dog... besides... if it starts chewing on your face... you dont have many options...

Well I still think it is silly that the PETA would rather have the Nazi dogs run up to you to lick your face than attack. I find this almost as silly as when the PETA wanting more Vegetarian dishes in Cooking Mamma.

the problem is that (restating my post from above) dogs dont have much of a choise to go into war, they are trained that way... humans have a choise... i think that they would prefer that they just dont use attack dogs... which is pretty difficult in this type of game since they were a part of WW...

That is where the big problem is. They would rather developers to make games more friendly and change how things really were back during those times.

Playing a war game and taking dogs for walks and playing frisbee? Come on, seriously? Yeah, because the Nazi's will just stop their assult to let you have some bonding time with their pets. -.-

You could also say that their bonding time with the dogs is getting them riled up and enraged to go after the enemies.

They're bonding right?

The only thing the dogs in W@W are bonding with is your face.

What do I know though. For all we know during WWII the US troops would walk right up to a Nazi outpost and be like "Hey, don't shoot! I just want to pet your dog!"

If you get right down to it... there has been plenty of WW games that did not have them.... there is no reason to include them.... and if its something so trivial (which can be removed) and it offends other parties there is no reason to have them.... videogames get enough heat now a days as it is.... and to get it over something so stupid as this is just asking for trouble

to be honest, i think the dogs in cod should be easier to kill and it shouldn't take two bites to be killed.

actually this thought just came to me - like in real life the dogs should bite, hold and shake you which causes your aim to be all messed up which makes you a better target.

back on topic - i don't know much about peta but i think the money that goes to that organization should go to zoos and shelters. within those organizations, awareness committees can be created that has local and global initiatives.

there are plenty of games that don't kill other people, too. should developers stop making games like cod?

i think everyone is saying that peta probably has other battles that should be fought instead of focusing on a virtual world.

If it offends them they just shouldn't buy it. No reason to limit what people are allowed to do just because a group of people do not like it.

If a movie like "Seed" could be made then I want to hear no bitching about W@W. Even so, Uwe Boll gave a percentage of the movies profit (which probably wasn't much) to the PETA.

That's a foolish slippery slope. What about the people for whom the WWII game itself offends? Should we tip toe around their sensibilities? I mean, it's a more legitimate one than the dogs thing. People are offended by all sorts of things, but ultimately it's up to them to man up and live in the real world and not try and censor the world so that nobody has hurt feelings.
