I overheard a soulcrushing conversation whilst I was in Starbucks today.

I was sitting at a table typing when three young women came and sat the next table over. They were probably in their early 20s. Two of them were dressed fairly smart as though they had just come out of work and the other woman was wearing dressed like a middle class chav of that makes sense. I don't think she was poor, but she seemed like she made out she was for some reason. Anyway, she had a pram with a baby.

Anyway, so she's talking to her two friends and they are chatting away when all of a sudden I noticed the conversation turn a bit sour. The woman with the baby started talking about how she wanted to cheat on her boyfriend with this guy called Chris. She started saying how she was going to go a date with him soon and said that she was trying to keep it secret from her boyfriend. She then started bitching about her boyfriend, but in a completely unfair way. She started saying how she finds it frustrating that her boyfriend doesn't share her views on monogamy, basically he believed in monogamy and she didn't. Anyway, she started saying how if her boyfriend ever found out she would leave him becasue she can't stay with a man that wont let her be her own person. She was bitching about this for a good five minutes...

As if that didn't make you lose faith in humanity this next bit will. Her two friends asked her what she would do with the baby if she did break up with him to which she said she would let him keep it because she could do without the damn thing (That was more or less what she said with emphasis on 'it' and 'thing').

I'm fairly liberal and I understand that some people aren't naturally meant to be monogamous, in certain soceties polygamy is expected. Personally I am monogamous, but I know a few people that aren't like me. But I also believe that there lines that shouldn't be crossed with polygamy and ditching your boyfriend when you have had his baby just about crosses all of them. I mean there are times when you just have to say 'OK, I'm going to stick with this person because I have a baby with him and we obviously share some connection'.

It was a soul crushing conversation, I almost felt like saying something.

These chicks exist. People are dumb and the dumber they are the more they live for instant gratification. That is all.

Considering her attitude and views, letting the father care for the child seems wise. It's fairly obvious the child wouldn't have a proper upbringing with such selfish and thoughtless mother.

That poor child is all i can say

Terrible......if she was stupid enough to have a baby (P-R-O-T-E-C-T-I-O-N = FREE) then she should now amend her errors n take care of it

Actually, on a side note, her two friends did not agree that ditching her boyfriend & baby was a good idea, neither did they agree she should meet up with the other guy.

@WOW - I agree, the baby would probably be better off living with the father. Especially from now, if the mother walked out when it is a teen then it would really screw it up.

Yeah the plus is that the child will be raised without that skank in their life. Its still pretty abominable though.

lets hope the dad does get the kid and breaks up with that dirty slut
