I have Mewtwo on my Diamond cart, but I can't trade for him yet, let alone control him.

I am pretty sure it is my original Mewtwo from Blue. I could be wrong.

I could have sworn I did Blue->Gold->Ruby->Diamond.

I am almost 100% certain because he has the stats of my Blue version Mewtwo, where I would have him level 100, then beat the Elite-4, then afterwards I would go back into the game after the credits, put him in the box, then take him back out and magically his stats went up (Only worked for pokemon in the top slot). The bump was the equivalent of a level up. I must have done this like 60+ times with each of my main 6 back then. I was like 13, I had nothing better to do.

Nice, I didn't play diamond or pearl so Ill get this one instead. I really loved gold on gameboy color.

i thought they would improve the graphics in some way in the mian world ah well

Both my brothers bought a copy, so there is 5 Pokemon games in my house. (2 diamond, 2 platinum, 1 pearl)
