There isn't much to suggest otherwise. The 360's pricecut had a tremendous effect and there's no reason to think it wouldn't have a similar (or perhaps even bigger effect since its the biggest Sony market(s)) effect for the PS3.

Definitely, even with a measly 50 euro price drop, that would put PS3 fairly ahead of 360 sales every week in Europe to which Sony could quickly close the gap. If the drop was 100 euros then it wouldn't even be a question really.
